3 Popular Hulu Movies and TV Shows to Binge-Watch (December 20-21)

The Huludays are still dominating the charts on Hulu. That’s great news if you want to watch a Christmas movie. Less so if you’re looking for anything else.

Fortunately, you do have options. Hulu has its own original series, as well as the exclusive streaming rights to every show on Fox, ABC and FX.

To help you find something new, the Watch With Us team has selected three popular Hulu movies and TV shows to binge-watch this weekend.

Our picks include a fantasy adventure, a news special and a thriller that’s anything but a holiday tale.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ (2023 – Present)

Looks like Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) is sticking around on Hulu after all. Disney+ and Hulu are sharing Percy Jackson and the Olympians as new episodes of season 2 debut weekly. One year after Percy discovered that he was the son of Poseidon and a demigod, he returns to Camp Half-Blood to discover that the sanctuary of his fellow demigods is under siege. Percy is also dismayed to learn that his best friend, Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri), is missing, and his nightmares hint at a disaster to come.

When Luke Castellan (Charlie Bushnell) stands revealed as a traitor to Camp Half-Blood, Percy and his friend, Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), go on a dangerous mission to the Sea of Monsters to rescue Grover and heal the magical protections that are barely keeping the forces of evil away from the kids back at camp.

‘The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy’ (2025)

The No. 1 program on Hulu right now is the ABC News special, The Rob Reiner Story: A Hollywood Tragedy. There are still a lot of details we don’t know about the shocking murders of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer. What we do know is that their son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested and charged with their murder. As this case moves to the prosecution phase, it’s going to be the focus of attention for a long time to come.

​This special dives into the public history of the Reiner family, including Nick Reiner’s struggles with drug addiction. In the film and TV industry, the Reiner family is like royalty, and Nick Reiner reportedly felt intense pressure to live up to the legacy of his father and his grandfather, Carl Reiner. It’s one of the worst tragedies to strike Hollywood in a long time.

‘Neighborhood Watch’ (2025)

The Boys‘ Jack Quaid and Jeffrey Dean Morgan share the stage in a dark thriller, Neighborhood Watch. Quaid plays Simon McNally, a man suffering from schizophrenia who attempts to reenter society. A mocking inner voice is Simon’s only companion when he witnesses a young woman’s abduction. But because of his mental illness, no one believes that Simon actually witnessed anything.

Ed Deerman (Morgan) is Simon’s neighbor, and he’s an ex-security guard who can’t let go of the job that defined his existence. Although Ed also has his doubts about the veracity of Simon’s story, he’s the only one who’s even willing to pursue leads alongside him. Neither Simon nor Ed are truly prepared for what they’re going to find on this journey. It might even get them killed.
