55-year-old using Clarins anti-wrinkle cream looks ’15 years younger’

Clarins has a range of supercharged formulas specifically for skin that has become unbalanced due to hormonal changes from the menopause. One of the hero products from the range is the Clarins Super Restorative Night Cream and for a limited time shoppers can get it for 20% cheaper at Amazon.

Now £71.20 at Amazon, beating the price of both Boots and the Clarins website where it is still full price at £90, the night cream helps target dryness, loss of elasticity and deeper set fine lines. There are impressive reviews to back up these results – when tested on 111 women over 28 days, 84% of women reported that the night cream helped them have a younger appearance and 80% said skin felt lifted and tighter.

Clarins Super Restorative Night Cream harnesses the power of organic gorse (extraced from a shrub grown in France), helping to fight skin slackening. It also uses organic harungana extract, a plant-based alternative to retinol, that helps to stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid for hydration.

A 55-year-old woman left a five star review about the night cream, writing: “I have dry and sensitive skin and this helps enormously. One of my colleagues thought I was 15 years younger than I am, so it must be doing something right!”

Someone else labelled it the ‘best moisturiser’, sharing: “Excellent cream the best one I have tried. I am 55 and have struggled with my skin feeling uncomfortable during menopause. This works!”

And a third person said: “This night cream has worked wonders on my aging skin. After only a week’s use, I was receiving compliments on my looks!”

On sale at Amazon for almost £20 less, now is a great opportunity to stock up or try the cream out. However, it still sits at the higher end of the bracket for anti-ageing skincare which may be a problem for some.

There are cheaper alternatives to consider, including the No7 Menopause SKincare Nourishing Overnight Cream, £34.95 at Boots. Even more affordable is the B. by Superdrug’s Menopause Sleep Cream, retailing for £15.

But, the price hasn’t put the majority of Clarins’ customers off as they see it as worth it for the impressive results. Someone said: “This is a lovely product. I stopped using it for a time whilst on an economy drive but the difference in my skin condition was immense and I returned to it rapidly. The change was so apparent. It’s worth every penny.”

And another shopper explained: “I’ve been using this for years. The pot lasts me at least a year and is well worth the money compared to other brands that last like 5 mins. Its rich and silky, absorbs well and feels lush. Its a worthy investment that’s for sure!”
