Snoop Dogg to Perform for NFL Christmas Gameday Halftime Show

The Doggfather will take center stage during the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings game on Dec. 25, streaming on Netflix
Snoop Dogg will host the halftime show for the game between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 25. The performance will stream live on Netlfix from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
“NFL, Netflix and your uncle Snoop on Christmas Day? We’re servin’ up music, love and good vibes for the whole world to enjoy,” said Snoop in a statement. “That’s the kind of holiday magic Santa can’t fit in a bag.”
Snoop’s performance, billed as “Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party,” is set to deliver a roster of special guests and his chart-topping tracks. The NFL Christmas Gameday between the Lions and Vikings kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET, while pregame coverage begins at 11 a.m. ET.
“Christmas Gameday just got a whole lot cooler. We’re uniting two global cultural juggernauts, the NFL and the one and only Snoop Dogg, who will drop the hottest halftime show,” said Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, in a statement. “As a West Coast girl and huge fan myself, I can confidently say this is the ultimate gift we could give our members. We’re ready to drop it like it’s hot this holiday celebration!”
Last year, Beyoncé performed during Netflix‘s inaugural NFL Christmas Gameday at NRG Stadium in Houston. The star showcased her first-ever live performances of Cowboy Carter, enlisting Shaboozey, Post Malone, and her daughter Blue Ivy to debut tracks from the acclaimed country album. The record would go on to win three Grammys including Best Country Album and Album of the Year.
The 35-time Grammy winner also earned her first Emmy for outstanding costumes for variety, nonfiction or reality programming with five collaborators for her NFL halftime performance, dubbed “Beyoncé Bowl.”
