All About Nikki Glaser, Golden Globes Host for the 2nd Year in a Row

Nikki Glaser is set to host the Golden Globe Awards for the second year in a row.
She made history in 2025 as the Golden Globes’ first solo woman host. Her daring monologue drew acclaim, which was only to be expected from a comedian who rose to fame for her celebrity roasts.
She was announced as the host of the 2026 awards just months after last year’s ceremony.
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement at the time. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus,’ who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Glaser has been making people laugh ever since college, where she did stand-up. While pursing a degree in English from the University of Kansas, Glaser appeared on the show “Last Comic Standing,” and made it all the way to the finals before she was eliminated.
Here’s what to know about her.
She’s a celebrity roast queen
Glaser made the rounds across celebrity roasts, like for Rob Lowe and Alec Baldwin, before the one that blew up: Netflix’s Tom Brady roast, which aired in 2024.
“The roast was such a big moment for me, and my life changed overnight in terms of recognizability and people knowing who I am,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
In fact, Glaser did so well at the event that she joked the audience at the 2025 Golden Globes were “scared” of what she was going to say about her in the opening monologue.
“I think, when I first walked out (to do the opening monologue), I knew the energy was like, ‘We don’t know what she’s going to do. We’ve seen her do the Tom Brady roast, most recently.’ That’s kind of where I popped for most people,” Glaser said during a conversation at the Time100 Summit on April 23.
She may be famous for them, but she doesn’t love roasts.
“Whenever I’ve done a Comedy Central Roast. I’ve done three of them and at the end of every single one I tell my friends to never let me do another one,” she told Interview magazine.
“It ruins my life for the three weeks I have to get ready for them. Not only am I such a b—- during these stints because I have to change the way my mind works in order to think of such cruel jokes, but I also exhaust myself writing and performing.”
What other TV shows and movies has she been in?
Glaser has made appearances in the movies like “I Feel Pretty” and “Trainwreck,” and TV shows like “Adam Ruins Everything” and “A.P. Bio,” as an actor.
As herself, she’s hosted “Saturday Night Live” and the reality show “FBOY Island.” She also spent an episode on “Dancing with the Stars” Season 27.
She had a bonding moment with Taylor Swift
In 2020, Glaser issued an apology to Swift after negative comments she made about the singer’s “skinny” frame had resurfaced online.
Glaser, whose been open about her struggles with anorexia and bulimia, said she regretted making those comments about Swift in the past after she heard about Swift’s own struggles with her body image.
I was probably ‘feeling fat’ that day and was jealous. Also, I’ve had people say the same s–t about me being too skinny before and know how terrible it feels to hear that when you’re struggling,” she said on Instagram.
Swift later responded to Glaser, writing, “Wow. I appreciate this so much.”
She’s in a relationship
Glaser is taken. During “The Roast of Tom Brady,” Glaser called Chris Convy the “love of my life.”
Like Glaser, Convy is also in the entertainment business. He’s a seasoned producer who has worked on awards shows and TV specials including 2019’s “The Little Mermaid Live” and 2022’s “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.”
He also served as an executive producer on several of Glaser’s comedy specials, including her most recent HBO special, “Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die.”
