Chelsea to loan David Datro Fofana to BlueCo-owned Strasbourg

Ivory Coast international striker David Datro Fofana (23) is set to join the extended list of Chelsea players sent out on loan to BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg, according to Marc Mechenoua. The 23-year-old is expected to provide cover up front for Gary O’Neil following Chelsea-bound Emanuel Emegha’s injury.

The report understands that Strasbourg are working on the finer details for Datro Fofana’s arrival from Chelsea. The Ivory Coast international was previously loaned out to Türkish side Karagümrük this campaign so far, before being recalled by the Blues.

According to L’Equipe, Strasbourg and Chelsea are in agreement for Datro Fofana to see out the campaign under the tutelage of O’Neil, although the 23-year-old is yet to agree to the move.
