The tranquil environment of Hudson Valley is now the new residence of actress Abigail Spencer who has for one been posting a relaxing scene from her holiday in upstate New York. The actress of ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Timeless’ fame uploaded a short video of the woods and said, “Upstate is great. 🪵 #hudsonvalley #ny,” thus revealing her fans’ little bit of her non-dramatic, quiet side which is far away from the limelight.

The switch in moods and lives was definitely on! Spencer, who can change from one role to another in the blink of an eye, has given up and surrenders to a slow and simple life, at least for the weekend. A rustic and naturistic video is nothing but a great big sigh of relief. No one is fighting, no one is making loud noises, just trees and quiet. This is part of the celebrities’ lives that are not always visible to the public, and the truth is it can be quite refreshing.
It was not long before the post attracted a wide array of lovely and fluffy commentators made up of fellow nature lovers and well-wishers. One fan completely shared the opinion of the locals saying, “Inness this time of year is amazing. Enjoy!” Another one just called it their “heaven place” and added, “Enjoy xx.”
However, not every comment was about peace. A follower provocatively challenged the comments by displaying their hometown and starting the fight with a gazetteer-like, “My city, Napoli, is better. 🙂 I’ll be waiting for you. 😂😂” It is that classic, playful banter which occasionally makes social media resemble a global conversation.
The most bizarre reply, however, came from a user named ‘kingdomofdavid,’ who left a very personal message seemingly unrelated to the beautiful post: “Today is the 3-year anniversary of when my heart recognized you, my queen.” The comment stands out, a remarkably personal feeling plunged into a stream of casual admiration. It’s one of those instances which makes you stop, a reminder of the peculiar and sometimes strong bonds that fans feel through the screen.
The others drew the attention back to Spencer’s profession, with one user hinting that the area is getting quite famous, making it “The New filming capital ;)”. It’s a smart comment as New York’s Hudson Valley has indeed gained the status of a major production site, attracting projects and stars seeking the ideal location.

Abigail Spencer’s understated post is a soft reminder that even those who are continuously in the spotlight of fame need—and want— their own kind of peace. It does not matter if it is an acclaimed actress who finds her in the woods or fans who tell about their favorite getaways in the comments, nature’s quiet moments have a universal charm. Her small digital postcard from upstate is not only a location tag but also a mood and her audience was very much in tune with it. Recently, she also took time to celebrate Rose Tutera’s birthday, showing her thoughtful side. In other news, she made a playful endorsement for Tyler Lain for mayor. Fans also enjoyed her mysterious Mercury retrograde update and a nostalgic throwback praising Annie Potts.
