Andy Cohen is supporting an emerging shoeless workplace trend — and he was more than happy to prove it on live TV.
Cohen, 57, discussed a growing professional footwear-free movement while cohosting the Tuesday, November 25, episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, revealing he was all for the fashion choice by stripping off a shoe and sock for the cameras.
“I’m so down for this. I like to let my dogs out, be free, bark,” he told cohost Jenna Bush Hager behind the desk. “I have beautiful feet. Legendarily.”
Once his foot was bare, Cohen held a leg up at shoulder level to offer viewers a close-up peek of the foot.
“What is happening with that flexibility? You’re so flexible,” Hagar, 44, commented after admitting that Cohen’s feet were “nice.”
Hagar’s flexibility comment led to Cohen, who revealed he gets pedicures “occasionally,” wiggling his toes for the camera before he concluded, “Foot fetishists watching Today show, you’re welcome.”
According to a report by The Guardian published on September 30, multiple British organizations “are trialling no-shoes policies as a way to improve focus, comfort and morale.” About one week prior, Fortune also reported that the “hottest workplace policy at startups right now” was the omission of shoes in the office.
Cohen’s fondness for in-office bare feet was discussed earlier this month during an episode of his regular talk show Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. After guest Isla Fisher complained about her Now You See Me costar Woody Harrelson refusing to wear closed shoes, Cohen told her, “I’m a big advocate of flip flops.”
Fisher, 49, responded by declaring that one must have “really great feet” to pull flip flops off, to which Cohen declared, “I will tell you that I not only have pristine feet but every time I post them by mistake, I hear from foot fetishists around the world.”
Sure enough, a site dedicated to Cohen’s feet (as sighted mostly via his social media posts) was found by Us Weekly on Tuesday. The site collated more than 100 photos and videos of Cohen either sporting flip flops or wearing no footwear at all.
Foot fetishes run rife throughout the celebrity world, with Tyson Beckford even sharing his with Cohen on WWHL during a July appearance. The model, 54, opened up about his fetish during a game that involves Cohen asking guests about their relationship deal breakers. Beckford said at the time that he isn’t a fan of having to pay for every date, but he does like nice feet.
“Oh hell yeah,” Beckford said to Cohen when asked whether he’d date someone with a foot fetish. “I got a foot fetish.” Beckford then took a good look at fellow guest Octavia Spencer’s feet, to which he declared, “She’s got nice feet.”
Other high-profile foot fans include model Orlando Bloom, revealed by ex-wife Miranda Kerr during a 2013 interview with Into the Gloss. “Orlando and I share a nail thing — he has a bit of a foot fetish.”
Joe Jonas also said during a 2024 episode of the “Therapuss with Jake Shane” podcast that he was proud to score a high rating on a foot fetish website. “And by the way, ever since I got this rating, I’m taking care of these feet way more than I have been before,” he said at the time.
