Boden slashes ‘lovely, warm’ knit vest up to 60%

Layering is a great way to stay warm in colder weather, and a knitted vest is a trendy way to achieve this. The high street is full of these versatile pieces, but we’ve spotted a bestselling design that currently has up to 60% off at Boden.

The Edie tank comes in a variety of interesting prints and colours, and is currently available with up to 60% off across all styles for a limited time.

The brand is known for releasing the vest in a range of fun patterns, which makes it feel more special than simply being a functional layer. Currently, two designs, a lovely pink Fair Isle pattern and a quirkier fruit print, are 60% off, with the price reduced from £99 to £39.60. However, Boden customers can receive an additional 4% off by using the code TSAL at checkout.

This will bring the tank to a final price of £35.64, but the offer expires on Sunday, January 4.

The vest comes in three other designs, which have lower discounts, with their final prices after the double discount at £53.46 and £44.55, depending on the design. Sizes range from XS to XL, and at the time of writing, three are available in all sizes. The pink fair isle is sold out in L, and the heritage fair isle is only available in XS.

The Edie vest is made with a blend of cotton, wool and alpaca for softness and warmth, and it’s the perfect layering piece that can be worn throughout winter. It has a crew neck, making it versatile enough to pair with everything from turtlenecks to collared shirts. Additionally, it can be worn on its own or with short-sleeved tops during the transition to spring. There’s enough room for layers underneath, and the tank is long enough to tuck into high-waisted trousers or skirts.

A third review said the “material is soft, not itchy”, adding it “looks good on its own or layered”.

One potential drawback some people pointed out was that the length of the vest might not be suitable for taller frames. As one shopper put it: ” This was soft, and the colours and pattern were just as pictured. I ordered with my fingers crossed, knowing that I’m 5’11” with a long torso. It was far too short, as I feared. If you are taller, this will not work for you.”

But others felt the opposite, with one shopper saying: “I was concerned this vest might be too short on me given my height (5’9), but it fits perfectly! It’s so cute and whimsical, can’t wait to wear it when the weather cools down. I wanted it to fit snug, so I bought a size smaller than usual and it fits great.”
