BTS Announce Live Viewing of Their Concerts in Theaters

BTS have big plans for their highly anticipated comeback — including watching their concerts on the big screen.

After all seven members officially completed their mandatory military services, the K-pop superstars are gearing up to release a new album and go on tour.

BTS — which consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook — will release their new album, “Airiang” on March 20. They will then head on the road for their massive world tour titled “BTS World Tour Arirang” that kicks off April 9 in South Korea.

On Feb. 25, they announced that at least two of their concerts —April 11 from Goyang and April 18 from Tokyo — will be shown in theaters.

“Experience the first two stops of the BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ live in cinemas worldwide,” reads the official tweet, which also notes that “more live viewings to be announced at a later date.”

At this time, fans can secure tickets for showings of their first two dates. Their website also details which countries will be able to have live, delayed live or encore presentations of the concerts, depending on the time zone.

“Featuring a spectacular 360-degree in-the-round stage design, the show delivers an immersive experience that places audiences at the very center of the performance,” reads the event’s description. “Share the electrifying moments of BTS’s defining cultural comeback together on the big screen worldwide, April 11 from Goyang and April 18 from Tokyo.”

This marks the group’s first large-scale tour in four years. Ahead of their comeback and to celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, BTS will take the stage for a special concert, “BTS The Comeback Live| Arirang,” in Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, South Korea, on March 21 that will stream on Netflix.

And that’s not all. The group will also release a documentary, “BTS: The Return,” on Netflix March 27, which will showcase their return and making of their album.
