Charlotte Tilbury £42 set worth £63 is ‘amazing’ in winter

Just as the seasons change, our skincare routine needs to as well. Winter is notorious for drying skin out, which can, in turn, make it appear lifeless and dull. If constantly transitioning between biting cold and dry radiator heat is taking a toll on your skin, it may be time to consider incorporating hydrating products into your skincare routine. Charlotte Tilbury is a renowned name in the world of beauty and skincare, and the brand offers a specially curated set that claims to be specifically designed to help replenish hydration in your skin.

After using all three products, one shopper said: “My skin looked amazing and so smooth, I could not see any pores or imperfections.”

Charlotte’s Hydration Revival Skincare Discovery Set costs £42, but the total value of the products inside is said to be £63, saving shoppers approximately 33% as opposed to buying the products individually.

The kit contains a cleanser, toner and moisturiser, making up a simple yet effective routine. If you’re already a fan of the brand’s skincare products, this travel-sized kit is a great option, as it contains minis. The size is also ideal for those who want to try the products without committing to full sizes. As a fun touch, the set also comes with a headband.

The set includes a 30ml Magic Hydration Revival Cleanser, which is infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid and a peptide complex (which is often a popular ingredientnt in anti-aging skincare) designed to smooth the skin. The creamy cleanser foams up, and is dscribed as having a milky texture. Charlotte Tilbury also claims it could minimise the look of pores.

One shopper praised the cleanser for working well on different skin types, writing: “My partner and I have different skin types and needs, but the cleanser works for both of us”.

She went on: “I have dry, sensitive skin, so a wash-off cleanser does not always work for me, but I found this did not dry my skin, or irritate sensitive patches…My partner has combination skin, tending to dry areas in winter. He likes this a lot too, and says he needs less moisturiser when he uses it instead of his normal face wash. It has become his ‘treat’ cleanser, for when he has a little extra time in the mornings. It was a pleasant surprise that we both liked this, and I’d happily re-purchase.”

There is also a 30ml Glow Toner, which features an acid-free formula that claims to brighten and hydrate the skin without stripping it. It’s formulated with niacinamide and prickly pear cactus flower to gently exfoliate, and claims to keep skin hydrated.

One shopper confirmed it didn’t irritate their sensitive skin, saying: “I have sensitive skin and have had no issues at all with this product, it makes my skin look and feel amazing!”

To seal it all in, there is a 15ml jar of Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream, a gel-cream moisturiser that’s a more lightweight take on the brand’s famous Magic Cream. It was formulated with ingredients designed to target dehydrated skin, like hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E and plumping peptides. The brand claims it can keep skin hydrated for up to 100 hours, also stating that it works well as a primer for makeup.

This product seems to be a winter skin staple for many shoppers, who are leaving glowing reviews online. One called it “a winter skincare must have”, adding: “Winter season dryness wreaks havoc on my skin. This cream has been a complete Godsend!! This thick cream moisturiser melts evenly across my face, without feeling too heavy. A tiny bit goes a long way. My skin feels deeply hydrated and nourished when in use. Hydration lasts all day!! Has a light, airy, fresh scent. Will definitely use long term.”

Another shopper said: “It feels so soft going on, there’s zero oiliness now, which I’ve always been prone to, but all my dry patches that surface during the winter months are also nowhere to be seen. My foundation literally glides over it; all the issues I had with cakiness and foundation not applying correctly on my nose are just gone. I didn’t want to love it, but I am converted!
