“It’s all about sisterhood,” “Heart & Hustle: Houston” star Chloe Cook says in a trailer for the new season. But based on the footage, some friendships might be broken beyond repair.
The OWN reality television series, which follows a group of Black women looking for love and striving for success in Houston, will soon return for Season 2. This season, all the main cast members are back — Cook, La’Torria Lemon, LeBrina Jackson, Muneera Page, Roe Grady-Pichardo and Alaina Saulsberry — to face one other after the fallouts from Season 1.
TODAY.com is exclusively revealing the trailer for Season 2, which shows some of the ladies breaking off into separate groups as they struggle to rebuild their friendships.
In the teaser, the ladies are initially seen celebrating each other and exploring their romantic connections. Next, the clip takes a turn. “Life’s good, but behind the scenes…” Cook begins before the tone changes.
Saulsberry opens up about struggling to keep her family together. Elsewhere, Grady-Pichardo sheds tears as she worries about her children feeling like she is keeping them from their father. An emotional Lemon says, “I feel like my mom gave up. And not only did she give up on everything, she gave up on me.”
Page and Cook confront the men in their lives, with Cook wondering if she was cheated on.
However, the trailer hints that not everything is as it seems. “There are two sides to every story,” Jackson notes.
Some of the women are also not on speaking terms and one is called out for being a “mean girl.”
All the drama will unfold when Season 2 of “Heart & Hustle: Houston” premieres on OWN Saturday, May 30, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. New episodes will then air regularly at 8 p.m. ET/PT starting Saturday, June 20.
