How Much Does Netflix Cost Now? March 2026 Price Increase



Netflix is raising the price of its platform across all of its subscription tiers by at least $1.

The service announced March 26 the new costs of its streaming plans, which will now start at $8.99 a month.

How Much Does Netflix Cost Now?

With the new price increase, Netflix’s three streaming plans cost:

  • $8.99 a month for is standard with ads plan, up from $7.99.
  • $19.99 for its commercial-free, standard plan, up from $17.99.
  • $26.99 for its its premium plan, which allows users to watch on four devices at a time, 4K (Ultra HD) + HDR viewing, Netflix spatial audio and more, up from $24.99.

Both ad-free options also allow users to add extra members to the account that aren’t part of the household. For the standard plan, subscribers can add one extra member for $7.99 with ads or $9.99 without ads.

For the premium plan, users can add two extra members for $7.99 each with ads or $9.99 each without ads.

Netflix members will continue to be charged monthly on the date they signed up. The new costs should take effect in the next billing cycle.

Netflix last raised its prices in January 2025. At the time, the company also introduced the ability to add people outside the household to the account for a fee after cracking down on password sharing in 2023.

Netflix previously hadn’t increased the price of its ad-free standard plan since 2022, and the premium plan hadn’t seen a cost increase since 2023.

Other streaming services have also increased prices in recent years. In December 2024, YouTube TV increased the price of its base plan by $10, making it $82.99 per month. In October 2025, Disney raised the price of Disney+ with ads and ad-free to $11.99 and $18.99, respectively. Hulu with ads also increased in price to $11.99. That same month, HBO Max increased its standard plan price by $1.50, to $18.49.
