Jennifer Garner Hops on ‘Felt Pretty’ Trend With Unfiltered Photos

Jennifer Garner has officially entered the group chat of internet relatability — sans glam squad.
The actress, 53, hopped on the viral “felt pretty” social media trend, ditching highlight reel perfection in favor of real life moments without a filter.
“Felt pretty but then I opened my friend’s camera roll,” she captioned the video in her post on Sunday, December 28. Garner kicked off her Instagram video with a clip showing herself dressed to the nines, rocking voluminous curls, glowy makeup and a velvet black dress.
The mom of three segued into an au naturel snapshot, in which she wore a comfortable gray sweatshirt while sporting damp unstyled hair with a slightly crooked party hat perched on her head as if she just survived a birthday or school event. (Garner shares kids Violet, 20, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13, with ex-husband Ben Affleck).

She continued her video with a sweaty snapshot captured during a workout class, including a separate image taken when she was napping with one foot propped up on the couch while another rested on a nearby chair.
Garner also kept it real by pouring food items into her mouth in a snippet featured in the montage, not withholding a clip of herself with a quirky, clipped-up hairdo.
“Oh, well. 🤷🏻♀️ (two peas in a pod, @clarissanya ♥️),” the star added in her caption.
Several fans sounded off in the comments section, praising her for being candid. “Real person! We need this in social media,” one wrote.
“Authenticity is probably the most beautiful thing out there. Extremely rare among celebrities to post such things and part of why people find you to be so lovable. It’s your brand. ❤️,” a second commented. “Beautiful human being inside and out. We all have camera rolls like those,” a third remarked.
Stars including Rita Wilson showed their support as well. “The best because JOY is all over this!” Wilson, 69, wrote. “You are perfection,” Selma Blair chimed in.
Garner’s latest post came shortly after she mastered a Nutcracker-inspired hairstyle from a professional ballerina. She learned the tricks of the trade from none other than Tiler Peck, who performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Big Apple.
“Now that I can do my hair, I feel like I should probably be in the New York City Ballet,” Garner quipped during their collaboration. “Fouettés are a big part of my life,” she added.
Peck agreed, raving, “You’ll be doing 32 fouettés in no time.”
As expected, Garner has been getting in the holiday spirit as of late, decorating gingerbread houses and dressing up as a candy cane with Ed Helms while promoting her 2023 movie Family Switch.
Plus, she has been enjoying quality time with her family months after gushing over her children and the joys of parenthood.
“I’m just watching them in this new phase of life where they’re figuring out who they’re going to be and what they’re going to study,” she told People in March 2024. “And I’m so interested in them. All the time, I’m interested in everything about them.”
