ELKHART — Jimtown has named Colleen Herrity as the school’s new volleyball coach, replacing the retiring Bill Stose.
Herrity moves up to the varsity after being the head coach for Jimtown’s junior high program for the past two seasons. Prior to that, she had coached in the Penn Middle School System for five seasons. She has also coached in the NIVA system.

Herrity has coached both Jimtown and Penn to conference titles at the middle school level.
A third grade teacher at Jimtown for the past 12 years, Herrity played for coach Lisa Pawlik at Penn High.
“Coach Herrity is very detailed and organized with a strong vision to grow the program and enhance team culture,’’ athletic director Scott Hamstra said. “She brings a wealth of knowledge from a variety of coaching and playing experiences.’’
The Jimmies have won a Class 2A sectional the last two seasons and reached the semistate in 2024 under Stose.
