“Relax, be around friends and family and stay up late, stay in bed late,” Burrow shared. “I’ve got no obligations for awhile so I’ll just go to sleep when I get tired I guess.”

When asked if he’ll approach this offseason differently than the last, considering he was sidelined at the start of the season with an injury, Burrow said he’s “thought about it” but hasn’t determined the specifics “to the point of change yet.”

Burrow also spoke to reporters about his emotions this season after fans grew concerned last month when he questioned whether or not football was still “fun” for him.

“You know, I work really hard at this, so it’s certainly a hard pill to swallow when I’m getting injured the way that I am and we’re losing the way that we are,” Burrow said.

“And so, I haven’t gotten that joy out of this that I used to,” he admitted. “The joy that I got was winning, and we certainly haven’t had that success that we expect.”

Burrow said he’s “not just going to sit around and mope and be miserable to be around” because of the frustrations he’s facing on the field. “I think it’s just growth and maturity,” he concluded.

Ultimately, the quarterback said he was “proud” of himself this season and told reporters, “I think I played some really high level football” after returning from injury.

“If you wanna play this game for a long time, you’ve gotta enjoy what you do and who you do it with,” Burrow shared, “and injuries certainly take a toll on that.”

On Dec. 10, his 29th birthday, Burrow made cryptic comments about his future in the NFL. “If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it,” Burrow told reporters. “You know, I’ve been through a lot and if it’s not fun then what am I doing it for. That’s the mindset I’m trying to bring to the table.”

He also admitted during the presser that he was dealing with “a lot of things going on right now” in his personal and professional life.

“It’s reflection on a lot of things that I’ve done and been through in my career,” he said. “I think I’ve been through more than most and it’s certainly not easy on the brain or the body. So, just trying to have fun doing it again.”
