Meghan McCain Claps Back After Being Called ‘Fat’ on Tucker Carlson Podcast

Meghan McCain is clapping back after a guest on Tucker Carlson’s podcast branded her “fat.”

“I am aware on the most recent episode of Tucker Carlson’s show, a subject of conversation with his guest was my weight — particularly how fat I am,” McCain, 41, shared in an X post late Thursday, December 4.

She continued, “Yes, I am very fat, I’m almost 9 months pregnant with my third child. I am also very happy.”

On the Wednesday, December 3, episode of “The Tucker Carlson Show,” political pundit Milo Yiannopoulos took aim at McCain and her father, the late Sen. John McCain, during a conversation about conservative politics and homosexuality.

Yiannopoulos questioned whether there was “anything gayer than John McCain’s bloodlust,” claiming that he’s “even got the fat friend — it’s his daughter.”

“He even bred the fat best friend,” Yiannopoulos told Carlson. “Is there a more ostentatious f** hag in America than Meghan McCain? You know, she hates herself. She’s fat. She’s crazy. She’s every gay man’s dream.”

In her X post, McCain specifically called out Carlson, 56, for entertaining Yiannopoulos’ opinions on his wide-reaching podcast.

“I don’t care how many times Tucker talks about being a Christian, that is not Christian behavior to engage in such a conversation on one of the largest podcasts in the world,” she said. “This kind of meanness to women and hypocrisy is a classic example of why the right has such a problem with women voters of my generation.”

“Don’t feel bad for me, people have been calling me fat since I started in media at age 22. It is old, lazy, tired,” McCain continued.

She concluded her post, “I don’t make my living off of ugliness like that and truly can’t fathom what life is like for anyone who does. It must be very dark.”

The former View cohost confirmed in June that she is pregnant. McCain is expecting her third baby with husband Ben Domenech, with whom she shares daughters Liberty Sage, 5, and Clover Jade, 2.

“I hope you don’t mind. I wanted to let you in on something that’s private that I haven’t talked about publicly yet,” McCain told Second Lady Usha Vance during a June episode of her “Citizen McCain With Meghan McCain” podcast. “I have two little girls. They are almost 5 and almost 3. And I just am entering my second trimester, I’m pregnant with my third.”

“I know this is a weird way to announce it, but I’m very nervous about… it’s a boy. I’m very nervous about having a boy. And I’m very nervous about having three children. Very,” she added, per People.

McCain wed Domenech, 43, in 2017, a year before her father died.

During a 2022 episode of her “Me Becoming Mom” podcast, McCain shared how her daughter Liberty, who didn’t get to meet her father, reminded her of John.

“[Liberty] does this thing with her hands, and [my dad] used to do that all the time. I don’t do it. I don’t know where it comes from, but she does it even now,” Meghan said at the time. “I told my mother-in-law it creeps me out when she does it because it’s this tic my dad used to do with his hands. … But I loved my dad and I love my mother in a way that’s the way I think a lot of people love their parents, they’re the people that raised you. And with my dad in particular, he was just so much for so much of my life in so many different ways. But with my daughter, it’s just pure. She’s perfection.”
