M&S summer beauty bag can save shoppers 80%

The Marks and Spencer Summer Beauty Bag is back for another year, and this time around, shoppers can save 80% compared to buying everything inside individually. The summer bag has become something of an annual summer event, landing around this time each year packed with seasonal beauty picks from some of the biggest names in the industry.

This year is no exception, with brands including Floral Street, Color Wow, Clinique, and Estée Lauder all tucked inside. But, like most Marks and Spencer beauty bags, it’s unlikely to stay in stock for long, so if you’ve been thinking about picking one up, now is probably the time to do it.

The beauty bag itself is reusable, in a bright, sunshine-yellow shade finished with blue accents. It feels very summer-holiday ready and is just the right size to use as an everyday makeup bag or to throw into your suitcase before heading away.

Inside are 11 products covering fragrance, skincare, haircare and beauty essentials. The bag costs £40, but according to Marks and Spencer, the contents are worth significantly more, making it 80% cheaper than buying each product separately. The savings are based on the worth value calculated using the price per ml or gram of the standard-size products.

Among the standouts is a travel-sized Floral Street perfume in the scent Wonderland Peony, a soft floral fragrance that feels especially fitting for warmer weather. Haircare comes courtesy of McKnight’s Sundaze Sea Spray, designed to give strands that effortless, beachy texture, alongside Color Wow’s Shampoo and the Dreaming Mask to help keep hair feeling nourished after long days in the sun.

Skincare is equally well covered. Estée Lauder’s Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser and Purifying Mask sit alongside Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion SPF50 and Ultrasun Photo Age Control Fluid SPF50 to help protect skin during sunny weather. There’s also This Works’ Perfect Body Vit C Glow, an all-over body moisturiser said to leave skin with a luminous finish, while SkinKind’s Mini Repairing SOS Balm offers targeted comfort for dry or irritated areas.

Rounding everything off is a coral nail polish that feels made for summer, bringing a bright pop of colour to fingers and toes alike.

Since the set is new, there are currently no shopper reviews. Perhaps the only thing some beauty fans may feel is missing is makeup – there’s no mascara, shimmery eyeshadow, or lip product included this time around.
