Oscar Nominations 2026: See the Full List

The nominees for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced today, Jan. 22.

All 24 categories will be revealed during a livestream this morning hosted by 2024 Oscar-nominee Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple) and actor Lewis Pullman. The event is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT, and will be available to watch on YouTube, Good Morning America, and a variety of other platforms.

With awards season in full swing, there are already several favorites for the 2026 Oscars. Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet are both expected to score numerous nominations, especially after they took home Golden Globes for Best Picture in the Comedy and Drama categories, respectively.

Other likely favorites include Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme, Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident, Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent, Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein, and Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia. The full list of nominees will be available below as they are announced.

The 98th Oscars will also see the introduction of a new category, Best Casting. The prize will honor the essential work of casting directors, and nominees will be determined by the Casting Directors Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Best Casting is the first new category to be added to the Academy Awards in over 20 years, with the last being Best Animated Feature Film (established in 2001).

The 2026 Oscars will take place on March 15, airing live on ABC starting at 7 p.m. ET. Conan O’Brien will return as host after earning rave reviews for his work helming the show in 2025.
