Princess Kate’s blue cardigan comes in new version that’s on sale

Princess Catherine’s royal style influence is undeniable, and she can make even a simple cardigan a must-have. So when Boden slashed the price of its new version of her iconic blue scallop-collar cardigan, now available in a dreamy Seamist Blue shade, shoppers were thrilled.

First seen on the Princess of Wales in 2021, this updated scalloped-edge knit is as elegant and wearable today as it was then. Made from a blend of wool, alpaca and cotton, this cardigan strikes the perfect balance between cosy and sophisticated.

It’s perfect for layering on chilly mornings or pairing with jeans for a relaxed yet polished look. The scalloped collar adds a touch of fun without being overly frilly.

Perhaps the most exciting news for Boden fans (and royal style enthusiasts) is the price, now reduced to £59.40 from £99 thanks to a Black Friday 40% off sale. The sale also includes a wealth of styles, from dresses and winter coats to jeans and skirts.

Whether it’s for a fan of royal style, a loyal Boden shopper, or simply someone who appreciates a well-made cardigan, this item is definitely worth a look. Princess Catherine’s cardigan is back and better than ever, in a fresh new colour that’s perfect for the upcoming cold season, reports the Mirror.

In other royal fashion style news, we’ve been busy tracking down where to find the Princess of Wales’ exact velvet bow from a recent official engagement. The mum-of-three’s hair was styled in a soft half-up style, with the front sections fastened back with a deep burgundy velvet bow from Jigsaw.

The bow added an elegant touch to her simple outfit, and despite looking incredibly expensive, it is affordable. Although it’s believed Kate is wearing an older version of this Jigsaw bow, which sold out quickly, this new one is available for 2025.

Back to the new cardigan, it hasn’t had lots of reviews at Boden, but a few shoppers have expressed their happiness with it. This customer said: “Lovely sea blue colour will match a linen skirt I bought last year. Will look good with denim, etc.”

However, someone made a complaint about its weight, stating: “This is beautifully made and a gorgeous colour, however, I was a little misled by the description of ‘lightweight’.

“The cardigan is more of an Aran or worsted weight of yarn. At 5’7″, it felt a little short in length for me, too. Medium size fits a 40″ chest. Too heavy and subsequently warm for my present needs; such a shame.”

But on a more positive note, this Boden shopper said: “I absolutely love the cardigan. It’s soft and warmer than I thought.”

Saying that, they noted difficulties with the sizing: “Unfortunately, it is too big. I am a size 14/16, depending on the fit around the middle. I ordered large, but it will need to go back, and I will try the medium.”
