RBD Stars Anahi and Alfonso Herrera Reunite in New Video

RBD fans are going wild after two of the former group’s singers posted a video together.

And it’s not just any of the members, it’s Anahí and Alfonso Herrera, the pair who famously played the on-screen couple Mia Colucci and Miguel Arango on the popular Mexican teen telenovela “Rebelde.”

In a joint Instagram video shared Jan. 21, the two have their backs to the camera before they turn, look at each other and then look at the camera. It ends with them laughing.

The quick clip is simply captioned, “M&M,” seemingly referencing their “Rebelde” characters Mia and Miguel. It also includes an infinity sign.

The pair did not elaborate on the video or why they reunited, but it was enough for fans to express their excitement on the post.

Many commented in Spanish, Portuguese and even Spanglish, writing, “Help, how do I breathe after this,” “OMG OMG OMG” and “I can’t me muerooooooo de amor.”

On X, one person commented, “THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!! ANAHI AND PONCHO TOGETHER IN FULL 2026!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH MY PARENTS!!!!!!!”

“STOP EVERYTHING, TELL ME I’M NOT DREAMING. ANAHÍ AND PONCHO TOGETHER,” another tweeted.

“Anahi and Poncho or Mia and Miguel? Their beauty is still 10/10,” one other person wrote alongside a side-by-side of them now and as their characters.

TODAY.com reached out to Anahí and Herrera’s reps for additional comment.

“Rebelde” premiered in 2004 and led to the creation of the pop group RBD, which consisted of Anahí, Herrera, Dulce María, Christian Chávez, Christopher von Uckermann and Maite Perroni.

After selling over 15 million records worldwide, receiving two Latin Grammy nominations and releasing five studio albums, RBD broke up in 2009.

The members got back together in 2023 for a reunion tour, but it did not include Herrera. Ahead of their highly anticipated concerts, TODAY.com even exclusively premiered their first song, “Cerquita De Ti,” in years.

Herrera, who appeared in Netflix shows like “Ozark,” “Sense8” and “The Dead Girls,” previously expressed his desire to focus on his acting career.

In 2015, he told Noroeste that singing was never his passion, “but RBD will also be a part of me.”

He also told Entertainment Tonight in 2018 that he wouldn’t return for a RBD reunion tour, saying, “No, sorry about that.”

At the time, he shared that he didn’t sing anymore unless it was “in the shower” or when he was with “family and friends.”
