Regatta’s £140 coat reduced to £63 ‘repels wind and rain’ with ease

With temperatures dropping across the UK, it seems the time for winter coats is well and truly here. But beating the chill doesn’t have to be expensive, since the imminent arrival of Black Friday has brought with it a flurry of discounts on outerwear.

For those looking to layer up for less, Regatta is selling its women’s Eloria quilted jacket in mocha for £70, a substantial 50% discount on its usual price of £140. That’s not all – because as the item is over £60, shoppers can get the Eloria jacket with free UK delivery.

Crafted from a comforting padded polyester, this coat is as warm as it is stylish thanks to weighty 280gsm synthetic down insulation. It’s lengthy too, dropping well below the knee for full-body coverage that keeps out the cold.

Other practical enhancements include a durable water repellent finish for showery weather, an adjustable hood, and internal stormcuffs. There are also two side pockets and an internal zipped security pocket for storage.

Alongside mocha, the Eloria jacket comes in a range of other colours for £70 including dark khaki, navy blue, ash, and fig purple. A cheaper light vanilla version is currently just £56, while the black and brown versions cost £84. The coats run from sizes 8 to 20, although some colours are sold out in particular sizes.

Elsewhere, Debenhams is selling the Boohoo hooded maxi puffer with matching bag for £42, with 30% off its full £60 price at the moment. It’s cut with an oversized fit and extra large hood for additional comfort, and comes with a detachable bag for carrying belongings. It comes in sizes 8 to 16.

For a slightly dressier look, shoppers could consider the chocolate brown formal funnel neck coat from Next for £88. This chic jacket measures 124cm from neck to hem, and has button fastenings and a belted waist. It’s also available in burgundy red and navy blue, and sizes run from 6 to 24, with regular and petite fits available, along with tall sizes.

While the women’s Eloria quilted jacket doesn’t yet have any reviews on the Regatta website, the retailer has an impressive 4.4 out of five star-rating on Trustpilot from nearly 31,000 reviews. One customer said: “Great shopping experience, easy to order, good quality and value for money, with (the) added bonus of no postage. Delivered quickly and on time.”

A second commented: “Easy ordering process, quick shipment. Second time I’ve ordered from Regatta this month. Great quality jackets.” A third customer chimed in: “User friendly website. Updates on purchase and received in time. Good quality fabric and well made.”

One shopper left feedback for a quilted coat they bought from Regatta in a four-star review, saying: “My quilted coat is so lovely and cosy, like wearing a duvet. The zip is quite tricky, so I keep it fastened and step into it each time.”

Another mentioned sizing on a jacket they purchased, adding: “Service, packaging, delivery all great. Sizing on the waterproof jacket was very small – I ordered a 2XL. I’m usually borderline XL/2XL, but it was more like an L. The return process was easy and promptly done, though.”
