Remington straighteners drop 75% ‘reduces frizz’ with Keratin coating

A set of hair straighteners with a function to offer three times more protection than with normal use is currently reduced by 75% on Amazon. The Remington Keratin Protect Intelligent Hair Straightener is now just £29.99 as part of a Limited Time Deal – a big reduction on its usual price of £119.99.

The straighteners feature technology that continuously detects the hair’s unique moisture levels. They adjust the heat to the optimum styling temperature and offer three times more protection, less damage and healthier looking hair compared to when the intelligent heat protection sensor is turned off.

The plates are infused with keratin and almond oil to create smooth, shiny and healthy-looking hair. The device heats up in just 15 seconds and has a digital temperature display with five settings from 160 to 230 °C.

Plus, they are safe and practical, as they have a function which makes them automatically turn off after 60 minutes. A handy storage pouch with heat-resistant lining is also included.

A similar set of straighteners is available from Boots. The Revamp Enigma Infrared Straightener is reduced from £149.99 to £59.99 and features ceramic plates infused with Progloss super smooth oils, which promise to leave the hair looking ultra glossy and soft.

Shoppers could also look to Currys, which has the BaByliss Stardust Shimmer Hair Straightener in gold, reduced from £100 to £35. Its ceramic plates heat up quickly, and users can choose from 13 heat settings and create curls or waves as well as sleek, straight hair.

Hair care fans have been leaving rave reviews for the Remington straighteners on the Amazon website, where it has a 4.6 out of 5-star average rating. One said: “Absolutely brilliant, heats up really quickly and straightens my very tough hair to straighten.”

Another wrote: “I’m very pleased with these straighteners. The best I’ve ever had. They are easy to use and do exactly what they are supposed to do.” And one wrote: “My first ever straighteners. I’m mixed race with Afro hair and never thought I could get my hair straight without a relaxer. These did it in one swoop, heating up in seconds. Love them and my new hairstyle.”

However, one said: “The only reason I gave four and not five stars is that the straighteners themselves get very hot and if you don’t hold them very carefully, they are too hot to hold.” While another wrote: “Found the instructions initially a bit complicated (couldn’t figure out how to switch it off for ages!) but once you get the hang of it, it’s a very efficient product.”
