Valentine’s Day is not until February 14, but if you’re looking to treat yourself or someone special for the day of love, LookFantastic has already unveiled a dedicated beauty edit, packed with goodies to help you perfect your glowy, loved-up look.
This year’s Valentine’s Day Edit features nine products from top brands such as Elemis, ColourWow and Iconic London, said to be collectively worth £215, reports the Mirror. Shoppers get the box for £55, essentially making a 75% saving compared to buying all the products individually.
The set is packed with a great selection of products, including skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrance goodies. They all come packed in a pink bag, which can be reused either for makeup or as a handbag. It could make a great gift for a beauty enthusiast, and since the products inside aren’t particularly aimed at one age group or specific skin concern, it will be easy to gift.
There are three skincare products, including a rose-scented Elemis cleansing balm and a vitamin C sheet mask, but the standout product, and the most expensive, is the Dr Levy Eye Booster Concentrate, which the retailer values at £99. This lightweight eye cream is formulated with antioxidants and promises to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and puffiness around the sensitive eye area.
One shopper called it a “magic product”, saying: ” It’s amazing, really gets rid of puffy eyes, and the dark circles!”
Another said: “Made a really noticeable difference to the fine lines under my eyes. Concealer now goes on much smoother and I just look more awake. Love this product.”
Another highlight is the viral XL Bombshell volumiser foam by Colour Wow, a styling foam that claims to add lift and volume to your hair. It’s great for people with thin hair, or anyone looking to create some fuller-bodied, date-night worthy hairstyles.
One impressed shopper said: ” I have really thin hair and this makes such a difference to the thickness of it. I can really notice a difference when I don’t use it. Would highly recommend to help with volume.”
Another said it works great on her thinning hair, commenting: “Wow! What better name could have been given? I have always had fine, limp hair. Now post menopause, it’s thinning. Wow does what it says on the tin. Easy to use, no residue or stickiness and beautiful voluminous results!”
As the bag is new, there aren’t many reviews at the time of writing, but one shopper stressed the universality of the makeup products: “…I love the lip gloss, it will suit anyone as it’s almost clear and looks great over lipstick and tastes delish. The Iconic liquid blush is so nice and buildable, I feel it could suit most people for this reason.” They added that the bag “is lovely and large”.
Not all shoppers were as delighted, with one saying the product selection was “disappointing compared to last year”.
To banish the paleness of winter, the edit also contains a bottle of Tan Luxe’s The Face self-tanning drops, and a Bondi Sands tanning mist for the body.
The Valentine’s Day Edit also includes two makeup items that are perfect for creating a youthful, flushed look. One is a tube of Sheer Blush by Iconic London, a buildable, liquid formula in a versatile soft pink called Rose Riot. The other is a Gen Gleam Lipgloss from Glow Hub, in a frosty shade called Milked.
The edit also includes a Sol de Janeiro body mist in the scent Cheirosa 59. The warm, sweet scent has notes of vanilla orchid, violet and sandalwood, and it’s the perfect finishing touch for your look.
One shopper said it was a “perfect date night scent” while another wrote: ” Love this scent and have had so many compliments when wearing it.”
