Sofia Coppola’s Daughter Romy Addresses Boob Job Speculation

Sofia Coppola’s daughter Romy Mars has reacted to the Internet asking her if she got a boob job.

“I made a video a long time ago, and I’m still getting comments on the video, of people saying, ‘Oh, my god, those are new,’ as in my boobs,” Mars, 19, said in a TikTok video uploaded on Thursday, December 4. “And I responded and said, ‘No, they’re not,’ and everyone is like, ‘We don’t believe you. She’s lying. She got a boob job.’”

Mars added that she felt “disappointed” by those questioning her since she’s been unapologetically herself online.

“I feel like I’ve been so honest on the internet. I literally share my whole life with you, and you don’t believe me about this very, deeply personal thing,” she continued. “I just wanted to say it makes me uncomfortable that adult people and teenagers, no matter what the age, are saying my breasts are plastic. That makes me feel uncomfortable. So please stop saying that.”

Mars shared that she had “never had any work done” in her entire life and has “never been to a plastic surgeon.”

“I just turned 19. Sometimes my boobs are big. They fluctuate,” she said. “It’s called the birth control pill. It’s called being 19. It’s called having the body I have. Sorry.”

Mars added in the comments section, “And if I get work done I would tell u.”

Many fans of Mars replied to the video sharing their support for her and slamming those making comments about her body.

“Y’all are way too comfortable talking about young women’s bodies in this way and it’s honestly sickening,” one user wrote. “I’m so sorry creeps keep taunting you babe, never let it get to you — you’re young and this is perfectly normal.”

Another added, “They just can’t handle a natural baddie 🤷‍♀️.”

Romy is the daughter of Coppola and Thomas Mars. The couple also share daughter Cosima whom they welcomed in 2010. When the girls were young, Coppola and the musician kept them out of the spotlight until they decided what paths they wanted to forge.

On top of being part of the legendary Coppola family, Romy has become an influential figure online. Her TikTok page has more than 600,000 followers and her videos have earned nearly 55 million likes. Romy has also pursued music and acting. Last year she appeared in the film Megalopolis and the series English Teacher. Earlier this year, she dropped two singles “A-Lister” and “Ego.”

In a 2024 interview with Teen Vogue, Romy opened up about the perks she’s received as a nepo baby.

“I think about nepotism a lot, like more than I should,” she told the outlet. “It’s true there’s so many talented people, more talented than me. I get the opportunity to record in a studio and have access to scripts and stuff because of my family. I can’t forget that. I always try to think about how lucky I am to get the opportunities that I get, and not just [be] like, ‘Well, this is my life.’”
