Steelers announce multiple roster moves ahead of Week 18

On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced multiple roster moves which included placing starting tight end Darnell Washington on IR. Washington suffered a broken arm in last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns and had successful surgery on it earlier this week.

In addition, the Steelers signed tight end Jaheim Bell to the practice squad and signed offensive lineman Jack Driscoll to the active roster. This week the Steelers are preparing to take on the Baltimore Ravens with the AFC North title on the line.

With Washington out of the lineup, the Steelers will have to make some adjustments to all the jumbo run sets they like to use. This should give tight end Pat Freiermuth a better opportunity this week and he should be just the bump the passing offense needs with DK Metcalf serving the final game of his two-game suspension.
