The Return’ Trailer for Netflix Documentary

BTS fans, known as Army, are just days away from the superstars making their highly anticipated comeback.

On March 16, Netflix released the first trailer for the K-pop group’s upcoming documentary, “BTS: The Return.”

The nearly two-minute preview shows the seven members — RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, J-Hope and Jung Kook — reuniting, performing on stage and reflecting on their time together.

“Being part of a team like BTS is like wearing a big, incredible crown,” one member says in a voiceover.

Text then appears that reads, “When you’ve been away, how do you return?” Scenes of the members being discharged from the military are shown next, as well as the group meeting up in Los Angeles to record their upcoming album, “Arirang.”

Later, the singers are seen working in a recording studio and enjoying a day at the beach while chatting about the importance of staying authentic, the pressure of making a return to the music space and reinvention.

“At our core, we’re still just a bunch of country kids from Korea,” RM says.

Directed by Bao Nguyen, “BTS: The Return” will be released March 27 and chronicle their journey back to each other and their fans.

“Since their debut in 2013, BTS built one of the most devoted fan communities in the world. After completing South Korea’s mandatory military service, the seven members reunite in Los Angeles to make music together, returning to a shared creative space shaped by time apart and personal change,” reads the film’s synopsis.

The film, according to the description, will also have the seven singers address “quieter questions,” such as: “How to begin again, how to honor the past without being bound by it, and how to move forward together.”

It’s an emotional and exciting time for BTS and Army. In just a few days, fans will be able to see all the effort the singers dedicated to “Arirang,” which will be released March 20.

Before the documentary drops, BTS will reunite in real time in Seoul for “BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang,” a concert that will be streamed live on Netflix March 21.

In April, the group will also embark on their “BTS World Tour Arirang.”
