TikTok’s Chris Olsen Reflects on Meeting BF During ‘1 of the Hardest Years’

TikTok star Chris Olsen is looking back on 2025, including the death of his grandmother and meeting his new boyfriend.

“This year was by far one of the hardest (since I went to rehab at least) & that is mainly led by the fact that I lost my Lola which is something I never expected to be a reality this early in my life,” Olsen wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, December 31. “When Lola and I made all of our videos together, I knew that eventually I would be glad I had them to look back on, but I thought we’d have time to make so many more.”

He continued, “I am grateful for the fact that the last time we saw each other before she was in the hospital was at one of my shows, where I pointed her out and made sure everyone cheered for her. I had deleted all social media about 2 months before she passed, so I could go away for a while and focus on regaining a sense of self and stability, and she had been telling me she was missing my videos. It hasn’t been easy to grasp the fact that I did not start posting again before she passed (my first post back was about losing her), but I also know she hasn’t missed a single video since.”

Olsen noted that it’s “no surprise” to him that “so many positive things seemed to happen” after her death.

“Yes, it was probably also because I was mentally healthy again, but I also know she has been at work up there making sure I know she’s still here to support me,” he wrote. “I lived in another country for the summer (and loved it), I met my Harry who I have the biggest crush on, I have a clear path of what I want moving my forward with my life, and for the first time in a while, I have hope that it will all happen.”

He concluded, “I know an outlook like this can always come and go, but I will hold onto it as long as I can because that’s all Lola would want. 2026 and on will be for her, it will be about being kind to myself, forgiving of myself and others, and being as motivated to succeed as I was when everything still felt possible. I love uuu.”

Alongside the message, Olsen shared a photo with his grandmother and images of him sharing a sweet smooch with his new boyfriend. Olsen debuted his new romance on TikTok in October, sharing clips of the pair but blurring out the mystery man’s face.

“I’m not tryna be a couple acc again and for once I’m being more private & that’s nice,” Olsen wrote in the caption. “I knowww the censor is annoyingggg but I still want to make these kinds of vids bc I am vvvv happyyyyy.”

Two months later, Olsen went on to reveal that he is dating Harrison Dockerty. In the TikTok video, he shared clips of him traveling to visit his boyfriend with a flower bouquet in his hand. “Finally found him,” he wrote.
