Tommy Lee Jones’ Daughter Victoria Jones’ Cause of Death Revealed

The cause of death of Victoria Jones, the daughter of Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones, has been revealed.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco, California, announced on Tuesday, Feb. 17, that Victoria died due to “toxic effects of cocaine,” and ruled the manner of her death as an “accident.”

Victoria was reportedly found unresponsive at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on News Years Day. In a statement shared with Rolling Stone, the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed at the time that it responded to a “report of a medical emergency.” “Upon arrival, paramedics from the fire department performed an assessment,” the statement said. “The person was declared deceased.”

Victoria was one of two children Jones had with his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. The couple were married from 1981 to 1996 and also had a son, Austin, who is 43. 

The family of Victoria released a statement following her tragic death at the age of 34. “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time,” the family said in the statement.

When she was younger, Victoria featured in several of her father’s movies. She had a cameo in Men in Black II and appeared in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which Jones also directed. She also had a small role in the 2005 film Sorry, Haters, and popped up in an episode of One Tree Hill. She made her last on-screen appearance in 2014’s The Homesman, which Jones also directed and starred in.
