Woman had discoloured nails for ‘years’ until £10 gel worked ‘in days’

The warmer weather is upon us and that means the holiday season is rapidly approaching. Think sandals, flip flops and bikinis – so many people may be wondering how to get their feet looking their best once more.

Discoloured, brittle or damaged nails can frequently be a source of embarrassment, and they can sometimes also be associated with fungal infections. Fortunately, shoppers needn’t worry as Amazon has the Dermavia + Fungal Nail Treatment Pen available for £9.99, and over 2,000 of them have been purchased in the past month.

The pen can help combat fungal nail infections, improve yellow or discoloured nails, and supports stronger, healthier nail growth, utilising natural ingredients and essential oils such as eucalyptus, lavender, orange peel and biotin. The pen is crafted for easy, precise and hygienic application.

For optimum results, simply wash and dry the nail, apply with the brush tip and allow it to dry. Amazon states the pen can tackle fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, and is ‘designed for visible results in just 2-4 weeks’.

For an alternative option there is the Excilor Easy Pen Fungal Nail Treatment 4ml for £20.61, reduced from £27.49, at Holland and Barrett. It is said to contain an optical whitener and is designed to improve nail smoothness and also reduce dryness. The solution should be applied once a day for optimum results.

Boots also stocks the Nailner Multi-Action Fungal Nail Treatment Pen – 4ml, priced at £17.32 (reduced from £25.99). It claims to ‘effectively treat and prevent nail fungus’, while enhancing appearance to swiftly restore healthy-looking nails. According to Boots, this product can show results in as little as 7 days, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The Dermavia + Fungal Nail Treatment Pen boasts an impressive 4.4 out of 5 star rating on Amazon. One customer wrote: “Easy to apply and very effective. After using this nail care pen daily, my nails look noticeably healthier, clearer, and stronger with a natural shine. The pen design is precise and mess free, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any residue. Simple to use and delivers visible results.”

Another remarked: “Great product [and] a handy one so it’s easy to use and mess free. My nails look so much better for it.” One reviewer did deduct a star as part of a lengthier critique, noting: “This fungal nail treatment does its job, but it won’t deliver overnight results and will require some patience and perseverance.”

On the whole, the majority of buyers were satisfied, as this customer summarised: “Husband is saying it’s making a difference to his toe nail, getting holiday ready.”

The Dermavia + Fungal Nail Treatment Pen is currently available for £9.99 on Amazon.
