Zoë Kravitz’s Engagement Ring Analyzed by Jewelers

Are Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles taking their relationship to the next level? The couple are reportedly engaged, according to People magazine, whose sources say they have started sharing the news with a “small circle” and she’s been showing her ring to friends.

Per People, the couple have been linked since August 2025. They’ve been photographed together throughout the last eight months; in the most recent photos, she’s sporting a stunning sparkler on her left ring finger.

The couple has not commented publicly on the engagement reports nor on Kravitz’s ring, and NBC News has reached out to Styles’ and Kravitz’s reps for comment on People’s story.

Meantime, TODAY.com spoke with jewelry experts who took a closer look at Kravitz’s ring. Here’s what they had to say.

The Ring Is Likely 7 to 10 Carats

La Joya Jewelry founder Nishit Mehta was “gobsmacked” at the size of the stone when he first saw a photo of Kravitz’s ring.

The third-generation diamond expert says the ring is likely in the 7 to 10-carat range.

When it comes to the monetary value of the ring, the cost depends on a number of factors, according to Jaclyn Elbaum, the co-founder of Audry Rose, a jewelry brand that Taylor Swift has been spotted wearing.

“I would estimate $500,000+. The exact value would depend heavily on the diamond’s color, clarity and origin, but it’s undoubtedly a significant stone,” she says.

The Ring Appears to Be a Cushion or Mine Cut

The jewelry pros we spoke to believe the ring is a cushion or mine cut but say it’s hard to be sure without seeing it up close.

“The ring appears to feature a spectacular antique cushion or possibly an old mine cut diamond,” Mehta says.

Elbaum is leaning toward a cushion cut.

“From what I can see, the center stone appears to be an elongated cushion cut diamond, which is having a major moment right now,” she says. “It has that beautiful balance of softness and structure. It’s more romantic than an emerald cut, but more directional than a classic cushion.”

The Ring Features a Gold Bezel Setting

While looking at photos of the ring, Elbaum was immediately struck by the gold bezel setting.

“The gold gives the diamond a softness and warmth that you don’t always get with traditional prong settings. It feels intentional and slightly understated, despite the scale,” she says.

The setting looks like a “full or semi-bezel in yellow gold” and is likely 18 karat, she adds.

“The bezel not only frames the stone in a very clean, architectural way, but also makes the diamond feel more wearable and less overtly flashy,” Elbaum says.

She notes that she’s seen a “strong shift” toward bezel settings lately since many people are moving “away from more traditional prong styles.”

“That said, the execution here feels elevated enough that it won’t date itself. It’s the kind of ring that will still feel relevant decades from now,” she says.

Mehta adds that Kravitz’s ring is “incredibly safe to wear.”

“Because the diamond is protected by that smooth bezel rim of solid gold, it won’t snag on sweaters, scratch her or get knocked loose easily when she is running around the city. It is a ring designed to be lived in, not just looked at,” he says.

The Ring Is a ‘Sharp Break’ From Fragile Settings

As for the ring’s band, Mehta says it’s a “solid, rounded cigar style yellow gold band.”

“It provides a beautiful structural balance to the sheer size of the diamond,” he says.

Overall, Mehta says, the ring is “bold and unapologetically heavy.”

“It is a sharp break from the intricate, fragile settings we’ve seen dominate the last decade. It is minimalist while still being incredibly classic,” he says.

The Ring Suits Kravitz’s Style, One Expert Says

Elbaum says the ring perfectly captures Kravitz.

“Her style has always balanced classic and cool in a very effortless way, and this ring feels like a direct reflection of that,” she says. “It’s refined without being overly traditional and has just enough edge to feel modern. It doesn’t try too hard, which is very in line with her aesthetic.”
