The actor reportedly held the trespasser at gunpoint prior to tackling him

Dylan Sprouse began his Friday morning with an unnerving encounter after his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin, spotted a man lingering outside their Hollywood Hills home.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody star tackled the man on his lawn and held him down until police arrived on April 17, a representative for Sprouse confirmed to Rolling Stone.

Palvin made an emergency call around 12:30 a.m. and reported a possible burglary, according to The Los Angeles Times. Unnamed sources told TMZ, which first reported the news, that Sprouse held the trespasser at gunpoint prior to tackling him. The outlet shared footage of an arrest that appeared to show the suspect, whose face was blurred, being handcuffed by officers.

Aside from fending off strange intruders, Sprouse has appeared in a steady stream of films over the past few years. In 2025, Sprouse starred in the action comedy Under Fire alongside Mason Gooding. The Steven C. Miller-directed film featured the two portraying a DEA agent (Sprouse) and a FBI agent (Gooding) who uncover their true identities during a cartel deal and are forced to work together amid a cat-and-mouse game against an unseen sniper.

The year prior, Sprouse featured in another comedy, The Duel, with Callan McAuliffe. The pair played best friends fractured after the discovery that one of them had an affair with the other’s girlfriend. Like gentlemen, they decide to settle things the old fashioned way, hence the title.

“This movie has an impact on people who watch it, whether it’s for good or for bad, right? And that makes me really happy,” Sprouse told Sharp Magazine when discussing the film. “They watch it, and they come away with some opinion about what they watched. I think it’s becoming increasingly common for people to walk out of movies opinionless, and I think this movie begs for an opinion from its audience.”
