You’re in luck. Fox and Indeed are partnering to hire a ‘Chief World Cup Watcher’ for the tournament, and anyone can apply.
The position will watch all 104 games of the 2026 World Cup from a custom-built viewing area in Times Square.
This is the biggest World Cup ever, as it’s the first time that there are 48 teams in the competition. That means there are more games to watch, but one lucky winner will get the chance to be paid to do so.
That pay itself? It’s a $50,000 gig for the action — that works out to about $480 per match.

The first step is to update your Indeed profile to “ensure your reporting, journalism and content creation experience is front and center.”
You then have to turn on the “employers can find you” setting in Indeed.
From there, you take to social media with a video “explaining why this is the right job for you,” and you include the hashtag #ChiefWorldCupWatcher.
From there, the Fox and Indeed teams will pick out their hire.
The chosen candidate will be revealed on Saturday, June 6, and the World Cup final is July 26, so if you’ve got some room to work, maybe it’s the position for you.
