Is ‘SNL’ New Tonight, January 24? Yes! What to Know

Season 51 of “Saturday Night Live” continues tonight with another brand new episode, capping off a big week for its upcoming host.

“SNL” returned from a holiday break on Jan. 17 with a new episode hosted by “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, featuring musical guest A$AP Rocky.

That episode was the first in more than eight seasons without Bowen Yang as a cast member. The comedian confirmed his exit from the sketch comedy show amid the final show of 2025, which was co-hosted by his “Wicked” co-star Ariana Grande.

Is ‘SNL’ New on Jan. 24?

Yes! “Saturday Night Live” will air a brand new episode on Jan. 24. The episode will premiere on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Who’s Hosting and Performing on ‘SNL’ Jan. 24?

The new episode will be hosted, in her “SNL” debut, by Teyana Taylor, just days after she received her first Oscar nomination for her star turn in “One Battle After Another.”

Her nomination also comes less than two weeks after she won the Golden Globe for best supporting actress in a motion picture.

In “One Battle After Another,” Taylor plays revolutionary Perfidia Beverly Hills, whose actions at the beginning of the film set the stage for the winding, chaotic three-hour epic.

For her “SNL” promo, Taylor re-created Angela Bassett’s iconic “Waiting to Exhale” role in a sketch about cast member Ashley Padilla having her eggplant parm eaten by Andrew Dismukes.

“I love this sooo sooo much!!!!” Bassett commented in reaction to the parody. “You got me GOOD! xoAng.”

Joining Taylor on Saturday is the rock band Geese, who released their fourth studio album, “Getting Killed,” in September 2025.
