Karol G, AOC, More Celebrities React

Bad Bunny‘s historic win for the Album of the Year Grammy marked the first time an album fully in Spanish won the night’s biggest prize — and now, some of the biggest Latin stars are celebrating the impactful moment.
Karol G, who presented Benito with the Best Música Urbana Album, cheered on the win with a sweet Instagram story. “No que adaptado, no fue traducido, no fue suavizado, fue en español” (“It wasn’t adapted, it wasn’t translated, it wasn’t softened, it was in Spanish,”) the Colombian singer wrote about Bad Bunny’s Debi Tirar Mas Fotos.
Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to X to celebrate her fellow Puerto Rican. She quoted an original post that read “Buenos días y hoy se trabaja extra boricua,” which translates to, “Good morning and today we’re working extra Puerto Rican style.” In her post, Ocasio-Cortez wrote, “Yo llegando hoy al Capitolio #benitooo,” which translates to, “Me arriving at the Capitol today.”
Bad Bunny’s frequent collaborator, Tainy, who has several credits on Debi Tirar Mas Fotos, celebrated his “brother” across multiple social media platforms and posts. On X, the producer wrote, “ALBUM OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” with a gold trophy and Puerto Rican flag emoji for added effect. “Tan orgulloso de ti mi hermano,” he wrote in another X post, this time tagging Bad Bunny. That messages translates to “So proud of you, my brother.” The fellow Puerto Rican shared similar sentiments on his Instagram story, but went on to add, “Feliz que el mundo pueda ver lo increible que eres y de donde vienes,” (“Happy that the world can see how incredible you are and where you come from,”) Tainy wrote atop a picture of Benito in P.R.
Another famous Puerto Rican and pal of Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro posted on X with a Spanglish note, “Felicidades Benito! Super Proud,” he said. In a separate post, Alejandro confirmed he was in “modo celebración” or “celebration mode.”
My heart is full from what happened yesterday. Congratulations to Bad Bunny for this huge milestone and to all the award winners. But above all, thank you for making music the loudspeaker of what’s good, what’s beautiful, what’s real, what’s human, of the truth.”
