Leeds United will have around £100m to spend in the summer if they stay up

There will be around £100 million for Leeds United to spend in the summer if the Elland Road club stay up at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail. Leeds spent around £100m to recruit the services of Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, Lucas Perri, James Justin, Noah Okafor last summer. The Whites added Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to manager Daniel Farke’s squad for free and are ready to splash the cash again at the end of the season.

Leeds are 15th in the Premier League table after 26 games, six points above the relegation zone. They will fancy their chances of staying up despite a third of the campaign still left to go. It remains to be seen whether Farke will be around to oversee transfers in the summer as he has a year remaining on his contract and talks are yet to take place over an extension. Leeds owners considered sacking him ahead of their return to the Premier League and following an underwhelming start to the campaign but changed their mind.
The German has managed to turn things around and has done a good job in recent months, but his future at the club is far from guaranteed.
