Shoppers say ‘best’ hair serum gives ‘thicker and healthier’ locks

Shoppers are praising a serum that they say is giving them ‘thicker and healthier’ hair. The Kérastase Nutritive Nourishing Hair Serum is currently available from LookFantastic, and uses powerhouse ingredients like niacinamide to hydrate dry locks.
It comes in two sizes – 30ml for £23.50 and 90ml for £52 – and is said to feature a nurturing blend of five essential vitamins. The brand says the overnight serum leaves hair feeling hydrated and nourished for up to eight hours, protecting from dryness and pillow friction.
The serum is also enriched with niacinamide and plant-based proteins, meaning the formula coats the hair fibres in ‘a veil of moisture for a stronger appearance’, the site says. Plus, botanical iris root extract and glycerin offer intense hydration without a greasy, sticky feel.
The serum should be used before bed, with the recommended amount being two to four pumps. Shoppers should apply the serum throughout the lengths and ends of dry or damp hair and leave in overnight. There is no need to rinse in the morning, the brand says.
As an alternative, shoppers could grab this L’Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Serum (100ml) from Boots for £7.50, down from £15. The brand says this has been specifically designed to provide ‘intense nourishment from the very root to the tip’.
Or at Superdrug, there’s this Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Serum for £6.49, down from £9.99. This has three honeys and is said to reduce up to 94% of split ends in one use, according to the site.
Shoppers have left rave reviews for the Kérastase Nutritive Nourishing Hair Serum at LookFantastic. One said: “Hair instantly feels thicker and healthier from one application.”
Another called it the ‘best hair serum’, adding: “I use this every night and have had so many compliments on my hair, noticeably thicker with less split ends.”
While a third wrote: “I love this stuff! It smells divine, a little goes a long way, and it’s so nourishing. Doesn’t leave your hair heavy or look like anything is added. I will never not use.”
Others left some more critical comments, with one writing: “Love the texture and smells amazing. Helps smooth my curly frizzy hair and definitely provides hydration. Only con is I have to use a few pumps to achieve the desired results.”
Someone else said: “Good product, just very pricey, so unsure whether it’s really worth it or not, but it does the job.”
