The Argentine, who missed the last match against Juventus due to groin pain, hopes to return to the pitch as soon as possible to help his teammates achieve their stated goal from the start of the season: finishing in the top four.
According to Il Messaggero, the goal is to return to the field as soon as possible, but doctors continue to recommend rest.
He will almost certainly also miss the trip to Genoa in six days.
The former Juventus and Frosinone player, however, aims to return for the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Bologna, or, at the latest, for the crucial match against Como.
