Who Did Patrick Ball’s Girlfriend Elysia Roorbach Play on The Pitt?

Patrick Ball‘s girlfriend, Elysia Roorbach, made a guest appearance on the newest episode of The Pitt — but did you notice her cameo?
During the Thursday, January 15, episode of the hit HBO Max series, Langdon (Ball) received a patient in triage who glued one of her eyes shut while trying to put on false lashes. She asked Langdon if she could see Dr. J, whom he wasn’t familiar with.
Roorbach is expected to appear in more episodes as Langdon figures out how to help her ailment. The actress has been dating Ball since late 2023, according to their social media posts. On screen, Ball’s return on season 2 of The Pitt comes after his character’s tumultuous arc.
The Pitt, which premiered on HBO Max in January 2025, followed a group of employees at a fictional Pittsburgh hospital’s ER working a single 15-hour shift. The first half of the season showed Dr. Santos (Isa Briones) at odds with her supervisor, Dr. Langdon, which caused some viewers to express their frustration with Santos, who was an intern working her first shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital.
Santos ultimately turned out to be right about Langdon stealing drugs from the hospital. During a March 2025 episode, Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) angrily confronted Langdon about it and the senior resident admitted he developed an addiction after being prescribed medication following an injury.

“He refers to having hurt his back while helping his parents move and that is frequently the case. He goes to a doctor who gives him pain meds and then those are habit-forming pain meds. This happens all the time. This happens with people that I know that are very, very high functioning,” Ball exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “You see this opioid problem that is just riddling itself all across this country. It’s really sad because it’s not people that ever set out to become addicts. It’s people that trust and that get caught in a trap. That’s part of what happened with Langdon.”
Ball was thankful for the opportunity to tell the story.
“All credit goes to our creator R. Scott Gemmill and the writers because it’s never who you think when it comes to addiction,” Ball said about Langdon acknowledging his problem. “Addiction is a disease and it’s a disease that a lot of people fight with — including a lot of people I know.”
According to the actor, the writers’ room was “really great about being really measured” in the hints and clues leading to the reveal.
“[It was also about] making sure that we depict this addiction as accurately and humanely and responsibly as possible,” he continued. “It’s just been an incredible pleasure and honor to get to be part of telling that story.”
For season 2, Langdon returns to the ER after going to rehab, which will continue to get addressed on screen.
“Coming out of rehab and doing some soul searching, I might need a little encouragement,” Ball told Us in September 2025 about his character.
New episodes of The Pitt premiere on HBO Max every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
